The sound effect generator turns a written description into an audio clip. Type what you want to hear, for example "door creaking open slowly in an old wooden house", choose a duration, and one of three AI sound effect models (ElevenLabs SFX, CassetteAI SFX or Beatoven SFX) makes it from scratch. There is no library to search and no stock clip that a hundred other videos already use: every run is a new take on your words. It suits the sounds that are hard to find or record yourself, like a specific game pickup, a sci-fi door, rain on a particular kind of roof, or a whoosh timed for a transition. Clips from 5 to 60 seconds cost 30 credits, and finished clips stay in your history on the page so you can play, download, reuse or regenerate them later.

What it does

Three sound effect models

ElevenLabs SFX is the default, with detailed, clean results for hits, foley and short ambience. CassetteAI SFX and Beatoven SFX give different takes on the same prompt. Switch in the model menu next to the prompt; the price stays the same.

Lengths from 5 seconds up

The duration menu runs from 5, 10 and 22 seconds for hits and short cues to 30 and 60 seconds and longer options for ambience. With ElevenLabs SFX it stops at 22 seconds, the longest that model renders; pick CassetteAI or Beatoven for longer beds and check the result's length.

Ideas to start from

With an empty prompt, chips for Gaming, Mobile Apps, Nature & Weather, Cinematic, Everyday Sounds, Sci-Fi & Futuristic and Impact & Explosion fill in a ready prompt. Edit it or run it as is.

How it works

  1. 1

    Describe the sound

Write what happens and where: the source, the material, the space and the mood. "Glass bottle shattering on a concrete floor in an empty warehouse" gives the model more to work with than "glass break".

  2. 2

Pick a model and a length

Choose ElevenLabs SFX, CassetteAI SFX or Beatoven SFX, then a duration. Short durations suit single hits and interface sounds; longer ones suit rain, crowds, engines and room tone.

  3. 3

    Generate and download

Sign in if asked and press Generate (or Cmd or Ctrl and Enter); the credit price shows on the button. The clip appears in your history on the page, where you can play it, download it or regenerate it.

Who it's for

For video editors and creators

Fill the gaps in an edit: a whoosh for a cut, a door for a cutaway, rain under a b-roll shot. Describe the exact sound instead of scrubbing through a stock library for something close.

For game and app developers

Prototype coin pickups, power-ups, menu clicks, error tones and notification chimes from a sentence each. Generate a few takes and keep the one that fits your game's style.

For podcasters and storytellers

Set a scene with ambience and foley: footsteps on gravel, a crackling fireplace, a busy cafe. Pair the clips with a voiceover or music made in the same app.

Frequently asked questions

How does an AI sound effect generator work?

You describe a sound in plain words and the model generates new audio that matches the description. Nothing is pulled from a library; each clip is made for your prompt, so running the same prompt twice gives two different takes.

How much does a sound effect cost?

30 credits for each started 100 seconds of duration, on every model. In practice, any clip from 5 to 60 seconds is 30 credits, a 120 second clip is 60 and a 300 second clip is 90. The exact price shows on the Generate button before you run it.

Which model should I use?

Start with ElevenLabs SFX for short, detailed effects such as impacts, foley and interface sounds. If the result is not what you pictured, run the same prompt on CassetteAI SFX or Beatoven SFX; each model has its own character, and the price is the same.

How do I write a good sound effect prompt?

Name the source, the action, the material and the space, and add a mood if it matters. "Heavy wooden door slamming shut in a stone hallway, long echo" beats "door sound". One sound per prompt usually works better than a whole scene.

Can I download the sound effects?

Yes. Each finished clip in your history has a download button, and the same clips are kept in your Library under Audio, where you can copy the prompt or run it again.

Can it make music or speech?

This tool is for effects and ambience. For songs and instrumentals use Create Music, and for spoken lines use Create Voiceover or Voice Clone, all on the same credit balance.
