“Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel. Today we're testing three budget microphones, and one of them really surprised me.”
Before: source recording
After: George
After: Matilda
This online voice changer takes speech you already have and re-voices it. Upload an audio file or record straight from your microphone in the browser, choose one of 21 preset voices, and ElevenLabs' speech to speech model, ElevenLabs Voice Changer, returns the same words in the new voice. Because it starts from your recording instead of from text, your pacing, pauses and emphasis carry over, which is what makes an AI voice changer sound acted rather than read. In our test the output was the same length as the source to within a few milliseconds. Each conversion is a flat 70 credits, and there is nothing to install: it all happens on this page, and finished clips land in your Library under Audio. It is not a real time voice changer for live calls or streams; you send a recording and get a new file back.
What it does
21 voices to pick from
Rachel, Aria, Roger, Sarah, Laura, Charlie, George, Callum, River, Liam, Charlotte, Alice, Eric, Jessica, Will, Matilda, Chris, Brian, Daniel, Lily and Bill. Each row in the voice menu has a play button, so you can hear a voice before you spend credits.
Upload or record in the browser
Drop any audio file on Add Voice Recording, or press Record Voice and speak. A recorded take is ready to convert as soon as you stop, so a quick line needs no other app.
Your delivery, kept
Speech to speech keeps the rhythm of the original: where you pause, what you stress and how fast you talk. Change the voice without re-recording the performance or rewriting it as a script.
How it works
- 1
Add your audio
Upload a voice recording or press Record Voice. Clear speech in a quiet room converts best; the tool has no noise removal setting, so background music and room noise go in with your voice.
- 2
Choose a voice
Open the Voice menu, play a few previews and pick one. Rachel is selected by default.
- 3
Generate
Sign in if asked and press Generate; the button shows 70 credits. Your file uploads, you move to the Library, and the new clip appears under Audio when it is ready to play and download.
Who it's for
For video creators
Give a narrator or character a different voice than your own while keeping your timing, so the audio still lines up with your edit. Useful for skits, explainers and faceless channels.
For podcasters and audio storytellers
Voice a second character, read a quote in a contrasting voice, or keep your own voice off a recording while the delivery stays yours.
For game and app prototypes
Record placeholder lines yourself and convert them into a range of voices for testing dialogue, prompts and tutorials before you book voice actors.
More to try
Frequently asked questions
Is this voice changer free?
No. Each conversion costs 70 credits, whatever the voice. The price shows on the Generate button before you start, and credits are shared across every tool in AI Canvas.
Does the AI voice changer work in real time?
No. It converts a recording: you upload or record a clip, and a new audio file comes back when the job finishes. It does not plug into calls, games or live streams.
Can I use my own custom voice?
Voice Changer offers the 21 preset voices only. To speak new text in a voice from your own sample, use Voice Clone, which takes at least 10 seconds of reference audio and a script.
Which languages does it support?
The page has no language setting; the model works from the sounds in your recording and keeps the words you said. If you are converting speech in a language other than English, try a short clip first and check the result before running a long one.
What audio files can I upload?
The file picker accepts audio files, and you can record in the browser instead. Clean speech without music underneath gives the clearest result, since everything in the file is converted.
Can I change someone else's voice?
Only convert recordings you made or have permission to use, and do not use the result to pass yourself off as another person. The output is an AI voice, and you are responsible for how you use it.
