AI Video Extender
Extend any video by generating a seamless continuation.
Video tool · 4 extend models
Upload a clip, pick a model, and get it back with more footage generated after the last frame.
Extend Video makes a clip longer by generating what comes next. You upload a video or pick one from your history, choose one of four extend models, and press Extend. The prompt is optional: leave it blank and the tool asks the model to continue the video seamlessly, or describe the next beat, such as the car turns left or she looks up at the camera. Each model offers different settings. Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast add a fixed 7 second continuation and can generate sound. Grok Video lets you choose the added length from 2 to 10 seconds. PixVerse v6 offers 5, 8, 10 or 15 seconds at 720p or 1080p, with optional audio. The new footage is AI generated, so faces, text and small details can shift between the original and the extension. Watch the join before you use the result.
Examples
What it does
Four models, one panel
Veo 3.1 is selected when the panel opens. Veo 3.1 Fast is the quicker Veo option. Grok Video comes from xAI. PixVerse v6 is the one to pick for a longer section or a set resolution. The panel shows only the settings the selected model supports.
Sound for the new section
Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast and PixVerse v6 have a Generate audio switch. It starts on for both Veo models and off for PixVerse. Grok Video has no audio setting.
Shape and size settings
The Veo models take an aspect ratio of Auto, 16:9 or 9:16, set to Auto when the panel opens. PixVerse v6 takes 720p or 1080p. Grok Video and PixVerse v6 have a Duration setting; Veo always adds 7 seconds.
How it works
- 1
Add the video
Drop a video onto the upload card or click to choose one. Signed-in users can also pick an earlier result from the history rail. The clip opens in a detail view with the Extend Video panel beside it.
- 2
Choose a model and settings
Pick the model, then set the duration, aspect ratio, resolution or audio switch if that model has them. Type a prompt for what should happen next, or leave it empty to continue the motion as is.
- 3
Extend and check the join
Press Extend; the price shows on the button and changes with the model, duration and audio. When the job finishes, the new clip is added to your history and opens, so you can play the point where the original ends.
Who it's for
For AI video makers
Most video models stop after a few seconds. Extend a Veo, Kling or Seedance shot you made in AI Canvas to give a scene room to finish instead of cutting off mid action.
For social and ad editors
Stretch a short product shot or B-roll clip to fit a reel, or let a closing shot linger longer under the end card. Use 9:16 on the Veo models for vertical posts.
For storytellers
Write the next beat in the prompt, run it, then extend the result again to build a longer sequence one step at a time, checking each join as you go.

Frequently asked questions
How many seconds does the AI video extender add?
It depends on the model. Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast add a fixed 7 seconds. Grok Video adds 2 to 10 seconds, 6 by default. PixVerse v6 adds 5, 8, 10 or 15 seconds, 5 by default. With Veo, the clip you get back is your original followed by the new footage: in our examples, 5 second clips came back as 12 seconds.
Can I extend a video more than once?
Yes. The extended clip lands in your history, and Extend Video is one of the actions on any video's detail view, so you can extend the result again. The further you go from the original, the more details can drift, so check each step.
Does it keep the sound?
The audio switch controls whether the model makes sound for the new section. It is on by default for Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast, off by default for PixVerse v6, and not offered on Grok Video. Play the result to check the sound across the join.
Which model should I pick?
Start with Veo 3.1, the default, for a continuation with sound, or Veo 3.1 Fast when you want a quicker result at a lower price. Pick Grok Video for a short top-up of a few seconds, and PixVerse v6 for up to 15 seconds or a set 1080p output.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. An empty prompt sends Continue the video seamlessly to the model. Write one when you want something specific to happen, like a camera pan, a character entering or the light changing.
Do I need an account?
Yes, you need to sign in before an extension runs. New web accounts get a few credits to try it, and the price for your settings shows on the Extend button.
